VLM-Vital Liquid Mobility

VLM is a micro electric vehicle that transmits blood transfusion bags and blood component sample tubes during both emergency and routine operations in hospitals. The materials are transferred from the blood bank located in the laboratory building to operating rooms and wards, and also from the hospital wards to the laboratory building.

Sample tubes containing blood tests need to be transported from the hospital wards to the laboratory building. Hospitals equipped with trauma centers require a substantial and readily available blood supply in order to respond quickly. Red blood cells, plasma platelets, and cryoprecipitate are crucial and in demand, as the need for these blood components rises when treating patients in operating rooms.

The VLM's steering handlebar functions as a research-based control system, containing a dedicated application
for transporting the components by prioritizing tasks, incoming calls and navigating in a defined area.
