Toddler Mobility Trainer
During my internship at TOM, my partner and I redesigned this product. We modified it based on the strengths and weaknesses of the previous model, ensuring ease of production for the makers. The project was published in open source. It was especially important for us to empower the child in the new Toddler Trainer design.
The product is an affordable and easily manufactured mobility trainer designed for younger age groups to use in indoor environments. lack the required physical strength or coordination to move independently, such as crawling or walking. However, they have the cognitive capacity to understand the necessary mechanics.
Unfortunately, insurance companies in Israel and many other countries globally do not offer coverage or assistance for providing wheelchairs to children under the age of 3 years old.
